Our NYC NEDA Walk is this Sunday, October 5th, 2014! Check-in begins at 9AM, with the opening ceremonies starting at 10AM, and the walk time ending at 12PM We will be starting at Foley Square and walking across the Brooklyn Bridge to prove that recovery is real! We hope to see you all there, and have been getting some great responses on our Twitter feed @NEDAstaff, under the hashtag, #WhyINeedAWalk. Here are some of the responses…
- “I walk because I deserve so much more than starvation." -@ThisisLauraS
- “I walk for those who have lost their smile.’’ -@erica_clites
- “Because if sharing my struggle helps even one person, it was worth it.” -@straightoutta91
- “Because you are more than your diagnosis.” -@stefyjonas2
- “I <3 & believe in NEDA's programs…” -@indigoindasho
We walk because we love and believe in all of you as well! We walk to support those who have no support themselves. We continue to walk towards recovery with you, and to see you and yours find a life free from eating disorders.
If you would like more info, or would like to get involved, check out our NYC NEDA walk website. Find out how you or your family and friends can get involved by donating, or by walking with us - it's the participation of walkers that makes all the difference!
NEDA thanks you again for your support, and we’ll see you at the NYC NEDA walk!!
