NEDA’s Junior Board is made up of nine passionate individuals who are dedicated to making strides in the fight against eating disorders. These individuals have pledged to assist the work of NEDA as both advocates and fundraisers. Their major fundraising event of the year, called Striking Out Eating Disorders, was held June 5th in New York City at Frames Bowling Lounge.
 
This year marked the second time that the Junior Board has hosted the Striking Out Eating Disorders benefit. Led by Lauren Steiner and Chair Laura Serico, these distinguished young philanthropists raised enough money at the event to fund nearly 30 scholarships to NEDA’s Annual Conference in San Antonio, TX!

The Junior Board is also closely involved in planning events for NEDAwareness Week. This year our members planned and/or spoke at events at high schools, universities, hospitals/medical schools, treatment centers and support groups.

The NEDA staff and Board are immeasurably grateful to the Junior Board for all of their amazing efforts. Congratulations to them on all of their successes!
