The Body Project Experience is a two-hour, body acceptance workshop delivered in a group format and open to all genders and ages.
During the Body Project Experience, you will:
- Challenge unwanted body comments
- Improve your body image
- Connect with others impacted by our complicated relationships with food and exercise
- Commit to making positive change together
Recovery is important to us here at NEDA. We require that applicants with personal experience who are interested in getting involved with the National Eating Disorders Association have two years of strong recovery due to the intense and triggering nature of this program.
What people are saying
“I am glad I took this opportunity. I feel uplifted and have hope for the future.”
"I really enjoyed this workshop and appreciate you taking the time to talk this through with us. As women, we go through a lot of body image/self-image issues. It feels nice knowing that I'm not alone in this journey with trying to love myself and be confident."
"It was interesting to unpack the appearance ideal and how we are technically part of the problem in spreading it and keeping it alive. Through this training, I think we're all better equipped to take this on."
"This was educational, uplifting, and enlightening. Can't wait to use what I learned here and stop cyclical and generational body shaming in my family."
"I really took a lot from this training. I feel a lot more confident in my ability to challenge my friends and family."
"This program was great and opened my eyes to so many things and changes I can do in my daily life."
